OnePlus 8T uses the same Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor on it’s main camera as it is on the OnePlus 7 series and it gives wonderful shots in bright sunlight , HDR is also handled well colors looks punchy but not over saturated and images are filled with details when zoomed-in.
OnePlus 8T has 16 MP ultrawide camera with 123 degree field-of-view and the images taken are also well saturated, details are also good and it gives a pleasure while shooting ultrawide landscapes.
This phone has a 5MP macro camera for detailed close-up macro shots and it is fun using this macro camera because the image looks great and gives an wonderful experience. Their is also a 2MP mono-chrome lens for black & white portraits which is good.
The OnePlus 8T has solid video recording capabilities. You can record at [email protected] 30fps and switch between the primary and wide-angle cameras. The quality is very good in daylight, except the footage feels shaky while walking. The main camera can record up to [email protected] but you can’t switch betwee lenses.
The selfie camera is still limited to 1080p recording but the stabilization looks pretty well. OnePlus has added some new features to 8T’s camera app – Video Focus Tracking, Video Portrait and Video Nightscape.
